Our church planters
Quentin Bernard
Church planter at Église Hochelaga
Quentin completed a year of Bible studies in 2010, where he met his wife. In 2011, before they started dating, both Thalina and he received a clear call from God to work in church planting. He later became a nurse but left the profession in 2017 to dedicate himself full-time to serving the church. In 2020, he completed three years of pastoral training at Église du Plateau Mont-Royal, as well as a Master of Arts in Biblical Leadership in a joint program between Northwest Baptist Seminary and SEMBEQ. Recognizing his calling, Église du Plateau Mont-Royal hired him as a pastor in training in 2017 with the intention that he would plant a daughter church upon completing his training.
Karl Fortin
Church planter at Église Connexion in Plessisville
Connexion Church is a community of disciples of Jesus living and proclaiming the gospel in Plessisville. They hope to establish new gospel communities animated by the same vision.
Stéphan Tessier
Church planter at Église des Deux Rives in Beloeil
After receiving a call to ministry in Christian camps in 2007, Stéphan and Nancy served for nine years as directors of ministries and programming at Camp des Bouleaux in the Upper Laurentians. In September 2015, God, in his grace, led them to the Church in Saint-Hyacinthe to be trained as a church planting couple so that they could be part of the church planting team in Beloeil.
François Vermette
Responsible for the church planting project in Eastern Québec
François is a pastor in New Richmond, supporting the church as they seek a renewed mission to the community. He is also a pastor in Rivière-du-Loup, where they are currently experiencing a mini-revival. He spends about 60 percent of his time directing and guiding the Rivière-du-Loup church and its leadership, in person and remotely. They are currently working on starting a few house groups in the Bas-Saint-Laurent. Since May 2020, he has also been the coordinator for our Eastern Quebec churches.
